Things that intelligent, computer using people have often asked me: - Where is the meeting? (in the calendar&#39;s location field) - Where&#39;s the document called so and so? (gDrive&#39;s search isn&#39;t that bad) - Where are the meeting notes? (in the same place as all other meetings) - Can you update the spreadsheet with these numbers? - Can you remind me to do that thing tomorrow? I think software people underestimate how much people dislike computers and don&#39;t care at all for automation.

@koos@mastodon.green gDrive constantly finds me an useless and apparently unrelated 2013 document instead of the one that have my search term in the title and has been modified by me one hour ago. I end up asking for a link half of the time 🤷‍♂️

@koos@mastodon.green yes but and this also reminds me of how much people generally like to outsource cognitive work, or just like to talk. While using the elevator in my high rise building, if the door opens en route to my destination the person outside will ask which direction it's going. There's a very large lighted arrow that shows this information. Also elevators don't stop unless requested. Still they usually ask. Some days I feel too tired to want to answer!
