@adamhsparks@rstats.me @futzle@old.mermaid.town @1password@1password.social I’ve been looking at https://www.keepersecurity.com/ for my business and family, so we can move away from 1P but we’ve built a pretty sophisticated workflow to protect credentials with the 1P ecosystem. Does anyone know if these guys are good, bad or fascist?

  • @danwwilson@rstats.me @adamhsparks@rstats.me @futzle@old.mermaid.town @1password@1password.social I tend to agree with Techlore's guidance, Keeper's not on the top of the pile for recommendations. They have some interesting use cases in a corporate setting, but there are better options for personal use. https://techlore.tech/password-manager-tier-list-2026-bitwarden-1password-keepass-proton-pass-lastpass-and-more/

  • @danwwilson@rstats.me @adamhsparks@rstats.me @futzle@old.mermaid.town good call on getting off the @1password@1password.social dumpster fire @KeeperSecurity@infosec.exchange had the best response to the DEFCON33 clickjack talk, patched in a week, months before disclosure (unlike 1Password). Worth noting because @dangoodin@infosec.exchange is one of the best tech reporters ever, and eight years earlier the Keeper founders sued him and Ars Technica to suppress coverage of bug disclosure. Significant improvement. https://www.securityweek.com/keeper-sues-ars-technica-over-reporting-critical-flaw/
