I'm a sucker for the start of the fall, the last days of summer, and September. You feel sad for the summer that is gone and you recall what you did during your vacation. At the same time you wonder what the new work / school year will bring, it's a threshold of sorts. It's still warm-ish outside and mostly dry, and looking at the leaves fall is such a gorgeous sight. I could do without the ass end of fall though. But I guess those miserable times make the other times look better.
