Videoconference community servers The open Jitsi Meet instances I was using for community videocalls all require a login, now. Are there any videoconferencing community servers that are still open, or where I could ask to have an account? The last thing I want to do is self-host a video conferencing software, unless it’s something simple and light. Also: has anyone been trying other software solutions beyond BigBlueButton and Jitsi Meet? Happy to test reliable alternatives you recommend. #help #videocall #videoconference #Jitsi #JitsiMeet #BBB #BigBlueButton #server

@tommi@pan.rent what is "simple and light" to you? and how many folk are you talking about on a call? i've self hosted jitsi in the past and was simple and light but i had a web server already and only had about 5 people on a call

@tommi@pan.rent Hello Tommi, one alternative still not considered here is Element Call https://call.element.io/ The software is still in beta, but working quite well right now. As far as I know you can create a room without registering and share the link, as it was possible in Jitsi.
