okay so I had not seen my cousin in a few years because her ex-husband was pretty transphobic, and was afraid that having queer people around the kids would "make them want to be queer". (he had issues) but she has full custody now so I'm getting to visit them again and OH MY GOD they did NOT exaggerate how awesome being the cool gay aunt is. So I go to visit, and its a halloween sort of casual day, so I go in full tradgoth and I find that her 11 year old, she had failed to mention, is a baby bat and has never met another goth. She got into it because of the new Wednesday show, and has no idea about goth stuff, and I'm the first adult goth she's ever met. (again my cousin gave me no warning) I introduced her to actual goth music, and am apparently the only cool adult, and then told her stories about the wild shit her mom got up to at her age, and it is AMAZING also apparently she asked her mom for an undercut and a tattoo, and got the undercut rofl. I introduced her to the idea of high quality temporary tattoos with her mom's permission I am the cool lesbian aunt and this shit is WILD
