@cliffle@hachyderm.io Sure, that's the other side of the coin: one can be annoyed because Rust wants you to *unlearn* some things, sometimes for good reasons, others because of practicalities (Higher-Kinded Types, anyone?).

@ekuber@hachyderm.io @cliffle@hachyderm.io I wonder about teaching Rust as a first programming language. Would it be too much all at once, or would they have the advantage of not having to unlearn things from other languages?
