Perhaps scale was the issue or maybe I just got unlucky. I wasn’t expecting loads of interest, just some discussion.
I followed plenty, made hundreds of posts and replies. Whatever the reason, I generated close to no connection. Far less than on Twitter before it

The kind of people Fedi attracts are those who are very intentionally trying to use social media as a way to connect with others (I think the instance architecture serves itself well to this, what with an initial common interest). Bluesky has always been billed as “the Twitter alternative,” where you can take your blasé attitude about digital presence with you and continue operating with it.
