a thing i don't see mentioned much about generative AI is that it can't make anything new. basically by definition. no one is even arguing this point, but they're also ignoring the implications. replace all the graphic designers, musicians, writers, and coders with LLM output and what? we just stay in ~2024 forever? everything is a scrap book for the rest of our lives?
