I've had a bad run of books lately, most of them recently published. Ho-hum writing, weakly made arguments, a focus on the privileged, and cobbled-together messes. Also -- great titles that promise what the book can't deliver. And yet they're out there winning awards and getting five stars on book review sites. #Grumpy
