@timixretroplays@digipres.club From a past (and mostly good) workplace: The Infrastructure Dept: All machines will have all of the corporate mandated software, including security scanning files on read, write, stat, and constantly at rest. Me a developer: I can has more than 8gb of RAMs plz? Visual Studio takes... Until the heat-death of the universe to compile this webapp. I can has exclusion of our dept. standard C: \Build directory? Infra: HAXORZ! (Takes away i7, gives i5) Me: this is worse... Infra: Axtually is next gen. Means faster. No, I don't know how to benchmark, and you are FORBIDDEN from doing that. The machine: cool I've got 16gb of RAMs, but... I can only use 10 because of Harry Potter. Or Hewlett Packard. No one can do anything so it didn't mater who's fault it is. CTO: now everyone do an AI!
