OK, I'm curious: what do you think is the answer?
I'm neuro-spicy, too, but because I want to NOT exclude people reliant on screen readers, the Android app I'm working on (and posting this from) which combines Mastodon and Bluesky in a single app, explicitly will not allow you to post any image without alt text.

@WilliamNB@social.vivaldi.net if ur not ND in a way that makes alt text difficult / impossible to manage, then u aren't rly impacted by the demand that everyone do it. Ways to not intentiionally exclude anyone: - Offer to help ppl who struggle by using the tag - Understand that some ppl struggle - Describe images w/o tags to ppl who ask I mean, those are all inclusive w/o vilifying anyone.
