i never took lower division organic lab officially for scientists, i took one for life science(aka bio -related majors)(which is the dumbed down version, sitll hard though). i had no bad experiences with chem lab, either than that it was tied to your lecture classes as part of a large multi-unit course, which i disagreed that it should be 1 class, and it shouldve been 2 seperate classes instead. it was the graduation research class(basiclaly “prepare” you for lab/research in the field after graduation, but it doesnt count towards getting hired, because they have some nebulous reasons). i was already annoyed that my first lab partner was unregistered in the class to begin with, and did all the work and dint ask for help. and 2nd one was a total elitist. he practically soured my attitude towards people in labs. biotech is just not easy field to get into, because of such limited options to get experience.
