Thinking about the garden today, and how the chiles have been the most successful and have brought me the most happiness this year. 🌶️😊 Also been thinking about those things that I keep trying to grow, but which don’t ever work out very well. It’s time to say goodbye to those and maybe try some new things. I’d like more of a happy Bob Ross kinda garden that feels less of a chore, especially as summers keep getting hotter and drier. 🪴🎨 #gardening #food #Colorado

Garden wisdom, that. I’ve cut back to peppers and toms in the main beds. A couple fruit trees, hops, greens that don’t argue about growing where they find themselves. A yellow thornless raspberry, doesn’t yield much, but IS persistent and tasty. I have two ‘experimental’ (chestnut and garden giant) mushroom beds, and a small area that I started Saffron Crocus, might flower soon if the squirrels didn’t eat all the corms. So still a little experimental, but mostly easy wins. :-)

@SunnJax@tech.lgbt the peppers have been fantastic this year. The big success story. All our nightshades actually: tomatoes, eggplant, potatoes, chiles. All rocked it this year.
