@fluffy I replaced my bp meter with one that runs on aaa batteries and has a display; it still syncs and wants you to log in, but does so in a "save and forward" way as an afterthought... I had a withings that I got for free somehow and then got bricked because the provider I got it from didn't keep the subscription and it ended up in landfill. Learned that lesson the hard way.

@fluffydotorg My blood pressure meter is also battery powered and it'll work without the app, but the app is required to save a data point and constantly loses its pairing and login token, and nothing about it *needs* login for the part I use because I just want it to record to HealthKit
