Level 4 is thinking “how can this even working?!,” spending the next 3 days delving into the bowels of the code, being so horrified by the unholy string of decisions that allows the prod codebase to function, and then having the experience and maturity to know it’s better to leave it the hell alone.

I had one of those when I was making a nintendo ds game and trying to get animated sprites working. I got one working great. Then i added a 2nd, figuring itd be simple. Nope. Instant crash. So i removed the 2nd sprite. Crash. Wtf??? So i cleaned the project and built again and it worked. Until i added a 2nd one and had to remove it and clean it again. Once i looked into the code(issue with ptrs), i had NO EARTHLY IDEA why the first sprite worked at all!
