OK, then, so who was I running AWAY from last week, thinking that would be the easier one? Why, it's Best Girl and @otakureview@urusai.social -summoner, Yui Horie! I thought it would take until Sugar Sweet Nightmare for her to show up, but she in fact joins my ED list a few years earlier, with Toradora's Vanilla Salt, which--while not my favorite of hers--is as catchy as can be. Active since the late 90's as both seiyuu and singer, she would enter my field of awareness as Naru Narusegawa, but I think just that, until a decade later, where she starts showing up everywhere. In Toradora she is best girl Minori, alongside "also sings in all the OPs and EDs except the one-off Christmas one." animethemes.moe shows her in 62 song performances so... #MusicWomenWednesday

@cthellis@urusai.social @otakureview@urusai.social Yui Horie was my first favourite Seiyuu. After watching Love Hina, I ended up following her career quite closely, listening to her new songs, watching all the anime she cropped up in. Negima, School Rumble, Inukami, Ground Defense Force Mao Chan are ones that immediately come to mind.

@otakureview@urusai.social ...let us explore I have already mentioned probably my favorite which she delivers as best girl Hanekawa. (She plays a lot of best girls.) Also there are nipples, but we are above such considerations here. We are here for the music alone! Obviously some Love Hina, and Negima. Anywhere there are "plenty of cast songs" and she seiyizes, expect to see her! Missed out on UQ and the Akamatsu trifecta, tho. An iconic twintails gives her lots of School Rumble. (Tho here it is Yakumo who is best girl. Surely we will see Mamiko Noto later.) Ten studio albums, all on streaming. There is lots to love. Dig in! ...and here I shall do something I have not before, and demand @otakureview@urusai.social contribute their top song pics. 😛
