A couple folks mentioned #iTerm2 in the replies but I swear every update has some new "AI" feature that makes me sad.
iTerm2 v3.7.0:
> - Companion App: a new iOS app, iTerm2 Buddy ... connects over an encrypted Noise channel so you can interact with iTerm2 via AI chat from your phone.
> - There's a new kind of AI chat called "orchestration" which can view all your sessions and operate iTerm2 for you.
> - Claude Code integration was added.
This is not the type of program I want to rely on.

@annika@xoxo.zone at some point they stuck a web browser in it too. It was (is?) opt in. But just seemed like not the kind of thing I need in a terminal either 😞. I’m hoping someone replies to you with a good alternative so I can try it too!

@annika@xoxo.zone All the AI garbage seems to be disabled by default (either that or I disabled it long, long ago and forgot), but it seems to be the only macOS terminal that supports native tmux windows/panes (`tmux -CC`) which is why I've stuck with it for so long. Once another terminal implements the same, I'm ready to bounce!
