I miss Perl
If a computer language could be hardcore punk, it would be #perl.
It annoyed the hell out of developers when I wrote code in it.
Over 27 years ago I wrote AFT https://maplefish.com/todd/aft.html
(or you can "apt install aft" under Ubuntu)
It's been 15 years since I released the latest version and it still works on any basic Perl distro.

@marocddot@hachyderm.io my team hates me for all the old perl I saddled them with, but that shit has been quietly doing some big enterprise stuff for over a decade and just never fails.

@marocddot@hachyderm.io How can you miss it? It is still there. I believe it is in all distros of #linux and all #bsd's by default.
