Why yes, your concerns about climate change would indeed be addressed by a decreasing population. What's that? Thats not a valid argument? Because those people will still exist in other countries anyway? Why yes, that does make the whole idea of net zero targets kind of silly, doesn't it?

  • I really don't like wading into the climate change thing because it really is such a ridiculous debate. Im one of those rare individuals who has been a believer and denier at some point in my life and someone who has done some formal, albeit shallow study in that area. My view isnt really important here (climate change doesnt matter and western carbon emissions policy matters even less), but the topic remains the undisputed champion of libtard orthodoxy, even more so than racism. Libtards can engage in a racism debate that is at least understandable as being fundamentally based on their idea of the blank slate human and the original sin of colonialism. But climate change is such an amorphous, indefinite set of views and goals that has no human scale to it. It has no way of proving or demonstrating anything, other than to defer to the decrees of meteorological sorcerers and their wizard guilds. Evidence for it is validated on a day-to-day basis by the anointed journalist class, but evidence against it cant possibly be considered valid or relevant because we're talking about such huge time scales, bro. I don't think you can really fault a normie for believing it because of how ubiquitous the concept is, but actually trying to interrogate a libtard's position on climate change policy will very quickly expose how deeply committed they are to the orthodoxy because most libtards know even less about climate change than they do about economics.
