@Pettet8@mastodon.social @Tutanota@mastodon.social or maybe their agents are connecting to their services from abroad and they need a decentralized solution without clear identifiable endpoint ip address. When the whole planet uses google services, one more random person is not suspicious. I believe in #digitalsoveignty , but there might be special requirements. The intelligence services will never be able to tell you everything. It is a lot of money though.
