Ethical, community-led research with neurodivergent communities benefits everyone.
For example, learning about how sensory overload or language processing work for autistic folks can tell us so much about how these systems work for everyone

@structuredsucc @WizardOfDocs I tell just about anyone that most of the symptoms and behaviors pertaining to neurodivergence would be familiar to most everyone, but at a degree and intensity that interferes with daily life. "With ADHD I misplace stuff." "I lose my car keys all the time!" "Right? Okay once I lost my car keys forever. While I was holding them. In the car. Fifteen years and I still haven't found them. Glad we had a spare." Studying that could help unencumbered brains too.
