A page from an old "What If?" issue of Captain America, in which "Cap" confronts an imposter who preaches intolerance and hate.
So relevant today. So powerful.

RE: https://dice.camp/@StefanEJones/116864150720348830 A FLAG IS A PIECE OF CLOTH, GODDAMMIT! It is nothing more. It has no power. It's a colorful rag. If somebody burns it, IT DOES NOT HARM YOU. If you choose to be offended when someone "disrespects" a flag, that is YOUR political idolatry! This comic is Cap confronting an imposter... or Donald Trump.

@StefanEJones@dice.camp Cap did a good job of representing what I wanted America to be, and what we could become if we looked at our history honestly and corrected those injustices. Sadly, reclaiming the symbolism of America feels impossible for me, now.
