The July 7 JAMA has a great paper by Rodriguez, Fuerst, and Schrote, in which they evaluate the management of spontaneous abortion (miscarriage) before and after *Dobbs*. In short, after *Dobbs*, women are being told to suffer through it without medication more often, and when they are prescribed medication, they are given a less effective treatment than before.

I care for someone experiencing a spontaneous abortion on nearly every shift I work. My medics care for them in the field. My family has been through the trauma of them. They are very common, even if Republican men aren’t aware of it. When someone has to sit for days in horrible pain, bleeding through pad after pad, becoming anemic hour by hour, because of asinine laws, we have failed as a society. 2/2
