@David@setouchi.social I think over 800k fireworks at the National Mall was fairly symbolic of overkill, for sure. Good thing nothing got blown up. Also glad they canceled the parade. There would have been too many people falling out in that combined heat plus humidity.

@kimlockhartga@beige.party Oh, I'm not talking about whatever happened in Washington (I didn't really pay attention, I only heard it rained a lot), I'm talking about the way Americans handle fireworks in general.
