Abyss
Set collection card game in a weird underwater fantasy art style. It was hard to understand how to collect the cards at first but it made sense after a round or two.
Like most good set collectors, you're balancing racing to the finish versus saving up for better cards.
One of my opponents got an overpowered special ability but he over-relied on it and in the end ran out of time.
Overall it plays well and I'd like to try again.

@iain@ohai.social The expansion is a very good addition. The monsters changes the dull "bust" in the push your luck part to something more fun.

played this a few times on BGA. thought it was ok but a bit over produced

@iain@ohai.social I remember when this came out-the artwork caused a stir if I recall. Doesn’t it use round ‘pearls’ for resources? Anyhoo never played it. Not sure I’ll ever do so.
