@yngmar@social.tchncs.de i saw many people using many different machines. Some have pure talent, some can get good skills, some can't. Understanding is only one part of skill, other part is senses and making new links "eye - hand moves" to make machinery do what eye want.

@mcSlibinas@mastodon.social Yes, that simply takes time, although some people can make machines part of their body better than others. I've seen a worker in a boatyard drive a forklift between boats each of which cost as much as a luxury car and the masts went within centimeters of the boat hulls but never touched and he drove the travelift and telehandler just as well. He was whistling and having fun because he was in the flow zone of work :) The grading is part that and part knowing how to use tricks like that reference, which really unlocks it. Although a lot of big excavators now have electronics that help with these things. But that's cheating 😀
