In Germany the secret service recently reported the growing danger of right-wing extremism. https://www.zeit.de/politik/deutschland/2026-10/verfassungsschutz-sinan-selen-rechtsextremismus-neurechte-gruppen-gxe Yet the government seems to support a US workshop dealing exclusively with left-wing extremism. Thereby effectively serving a far-right/ maga narrative. https://www.spiegel.de/politik/deutschland/workshop-zu-linksextremismus-in-deutschland-geplant-a-f14ba760-4fe2-47fb-992d-f8f6c792df08 https://taz.de/Workshop-mit-den-USA/!6209357/

@EugeneMcParland@mastodon.ie Very tragic to watch fascism in America go unchallenged on the world state. America now - Threatens freely - Aggressive - Violent - Untrustworthy - Self-centred - Domestically hostile - Oppressive

@EugeneMcParland@mastodon.ie On the plus side, without this story we wouldn't know there was * an EU disinformation conference * a European counter-disinformation community * an independent Brussels non-profit EU Disinfo Lab #Disinfo2026 #disinformation #EU #Europe
