Put "for free" banana boxes full of various stuff near the sidewalk. Working good quality stuff, various new paint cans, acceptable quality hand tools etc. 1 hour later some clever person stole the "for free" signs (just paper) and left a broken stripped kids bike with one wheel on the side walk. Next time I'll put up a sign "only take away free stuff. Don't steal this sign. Dont steal the banana box. Dont put your trash in public spaces."
