It's a beautiful day out, and I'm really glad because I just took the power chair for a 4 mile round-trip "walk" to bring meds to my kid's school.

The beauty and relaxation is heavily tempered, though, by having to go 3 blocks out of my way due to abruptly missing sidewalks, taking half a block in the road because of impassable broken sidewalks, and having to detour to the wider, faster, louder, less shaded, more polluted state highway rather than side streets. Because even three decades after the ADA, this is somehow still an issue. The least St. Paul could do is put up signs saying "Fuck Cripples" so I know not to try a route. #ableism
