Talking with them, I think yeah they require dues right now
But might add a supported rank later as their finances are secured
Their idea is they pay moderators for the stressful job they do 🤷🏽♀️
And I guess work towards sustainability of the project
Not sure if the model limits the number of members who will pay, so that the memberships can’t pay the costs?
But they may be doing alright — seem to have as many members as SocialCoop, where I’ll park the station for free

@nicheinterests@theha.us If you want nobody to join your social media network explain that you are not using advertising and data-mining to pay for it and instead asking people to pay for it themselves Oddly enough, no one would trust you because they’ve been trained to think everybody is ripping them off online
