@MamaLake@beige.party @foerterer@mastoart.social I am reminded of the lyrics to All That We've Needed, by Michael Wheelwright. The line about "no more children trapped in cages" is very impactful in the song, and I still find it to be a valuable part of my peace music. I think you can name evil just enough to inspire turning away from it, without initiating an indulgence of fear. Music is a language that speaks with more than the words of the lyrics (you understand that better than I do). I believe you will find the perfect way to balance these ideas, whatever that means inside of you. When you feel it flow from inside of you, you'll know what feels right. ❤️🔥

@MamaLake@beige.party @Unicorn@pagan.plus Agree. As I see it, one of the problems is the perpetuation of violence by silence and its reproduction from generation to generation. I have been trying to sketch works on violence for some time now and it is difficult. You won't reach or change the offenders. I've mostly given up on that. But you can reach the people who don't know or cannot imagine the actual cruelty. And propose something they can do to stop or soothe it.
