@linguistgoneforeign@mastodon.social As a side note: the woman who helped popularise gender reveal parties came to regret it after learning more about LBGTQ+ and intersex people. Years later her child would also come out as gender-nonconforming. She has since pled for people not to hold these 'parties'.
