At least emails from colleagues no longer have that smarmy over congratulating LLM tone, but now they've started summarizing everything I wrote to them in a way that just doesn't seem human to me.
"Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I will [ inserts a summary of my email using almost exactly my words]. Thank you for flagging this. Regards, Human Name.
I wonder if it's an LLM or a human who'd learning to write like an LLM?

@Zumbador@mefi.social it's an LLM. 😶 I've also seen this exact same phrasing (thanks for bringing to my attention + my words). It makes me feel like they're not even READING my f... email.

@Zumbador@mefi.social I wrote to a genealogist recently, hoping to hire her to find proof of some family connections. There were a couple of delays in her responses, and in the last one (when I’d sent her some details of my ancestry, including a short anecdote about how my grandmother’s birthdate was uncertain because of a doctor snafu), she wrote back a week later with a short, bland message containing no substantive content and a hope that my doctor visit had gone well. I *strongly* suspect AI. 🤨
