Has anyone worked out what the “Automated protocol deliverability probe” spam wave is about? Do we know who’s doing it or what their goals are?

@misty@digipres.club I've seen it a few times on the solarcene instance and the ips seemed to track back to Japan - that's all I've got though

@misty@digipres.club I've seen rumours that it's being used to drive down the reliability rating for mail servers, with all the bouncing emails this spam creates... Or probing for email addresses that don't bounce; which kind of fits with the new sendflow[.]com angle
