@Gargron@mastodon.social The end of lead, asbestos and CFC didnt come through exhortation. It came through laws and regulations to ban and enforce. Is there any chance in the current climate of similar bans on AI? @jimmylittle@hachyderm.io @drahardja@sfba.social

@Gargron@mastodon.social @drahardja@sfba.social People didn’t stop using asbestos because of internet memes. They stopped using it because of a combination of the availability of better materials, untenable lawsuits, and government regulation.
