One of the bittersweet things so far about my 40s is seeing, on average, how much happier and functional women i know are after divorce while the men fall apart. This isn’t every couple by any means, but it is an ugly pattern. So many women i love have sacrificed so much of their lives and selves for nothing. So many men have never developed skills to really build and sustain relationships - or even learned basic housekeeping and nutrition. Like i thought this would die with the boomers but my elder millennial cohort isn’t immune.

so much pushes people to conform to the division I have a mental category of “capable of cleaning a bathroom, probably never has “ and I’d pay less attention to all them but it isn’t safe to because they have so much power @sus@timeloop.cafe

@sus@timeloop.cafe My spouse knows someone who is an another arts administrator, who has two kids, three if you count her artist husband who smokes tons of weed and orders Doordash the few times it’s his turn to make dinner The bar is on the floor, if not in the basement. Like being a distant boomer dad would be a step up
