@foone@digipres.club I think someone published a teardown of various USB cable brands/lengths on youtube, as well as some Li ion battery teardowns, and they found like 75+% are faulty. The cables, specifically, are often manufactured already very close to internal shorts, disconnections, etc. Then the USB ports themselves have various handshake/set rate stuff that gets finicky with certain cables. Ive seen rj45 ethernet do similar shit at least once.
