That is generally the purpose of prosecuting a war is to attain a more favorable peace afterwards, yes. Unless you think some cultures simply love and pursue the worst thing in the human experience because they enjoy it somehow, like some kind of inhuman…orcs. Luckily we live in a society of educated people, so nobody is ignorant enough to fall for that kind of nazi-esque dehumanization, right? Especially not for years and years 😀
