The second book with a Cornish setting that I read on holiday in Cornwall was _Light Over Liskeard_ by Louis de Bernières. I went into it blind and wasn't expecting it to be a near future dystopia story about a guy preparing for the end of the world by restoring a farmhouse on Bodmin Moor. I quite enjoyed reading it and there were some excellent scenes but ever since I've put the book down it has been annoying me that I think the book was trying to be upbeat and hopeful but actually it was just, as ever, pretty much just one old white guy saving himself. https://nocto.com/books/light-over-liskeard/ #Bookstodon #Books #BookReview
