@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social Is there a timeline or goal on when you guys hope to have RCS / E2EE implemented? Moving away from Google's Messages app would be huge for me. Thank you for all the work you guys do!

@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social Will these leave alpha soon? I'm still on 12 in the app store.

@atanasoff@mastodon.social @GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social If they just released it then it will be in the alpha release stage. So you would need to change which version the app store is looking for. Just go to the messaging app in graphenes app store, hit the 3 dot menu in the upper right and select alpha to get this release.

@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social Nice this release is also on the beta channel already. Just an idea, what about renaming it from "SMS/MMS" to "Messages" (but also localize it, e.g. "Nachrichten" in German). SMS/MMS describes exactly what this app does, but considering that RCS is planned in the future, a more generic name might make sense?
