Remember the Harris ad where the Republican women were tricking their husbands and voting Democratic. Turns out this ad really turned off minority voters and the GOP women voted for Trump anyway. Courting the mythical crossover voter is one if the worst mistakes a campaign can make.

@mastodonmigration@mastodon.online @mattsheffield@mastodon.social if your instinct is to appeal to the right, then that is a tell "political strategists" pushing this approach are rat poison for the democrats, and anyone listening to them is a clueless empty suit, or center right: not a democrat what you are, is what you try to appeal to you appeal to the left. or you appeal to the right period obvious as fuck, but the inability of so many DNC to appreciate it means endless failure until they get it or are replaced
