JFC... me to client several months ago: "Do you have any idea how many concurrent users access this server you're migrating?” Client: “No, we don’t.” Fast forward several months… Client: "We're running load tests on the new infrastructure and it can't handle the 2500+ concurrent users that we expect to see.” Wait... what? You can measure concurrent users today no problem but you had no clue when provisioning the machine earlier this year? Come on. I am so sick of academic IT departments…
