People from different servers can follow and interact with each other. -Don't sign up on mastodon.social, it's way too overloaded. You will have a nicer experience on a different server. You can find well-run reliable servers at https://joinmastodon.org/servers and https://fedi.garden -You can always move and keep your followers/follows if you ever change your mind about being on a particular server

@feditips@mstdn.social One problem I have is scrolling with a browser (Firefox). The space bar works OK but sometimes skips part of a toot. The up and down arrows, which should move the feed in smaller increments, are not reliable and often jump you way up in the feed you've already seen so you have to find your place again. If you have or can make a solution for this I'd appreciate it.
