Unprocessed internal messiness is the base condition which prompts people to develop external solutions.
Did a sense of rootlessness, self-doubt around identity, and search for a balm for unknown psychological wounds result in innovation?

@paninid@mastodon.world @mekkaokereke@hachyderm.io @chasseur@hachyderm.io I feel like it's original sin was the genocide of Indigenous peoples. It's hard to base anything long lasting on that kind of a base The next original sin, of course was slavery and a civil war to keep it that wasn't fought to the end, imho, but rather a victory of sufficiency - enough so that the Union won, but not so the confederacy was completely eradicated, and the society had confederate symbols and sympathizers ostracized from the community and public life
