Three years. Three heatwaves. Same story. Renewables plus batteries keep the blackout blues away during heatwaves. Try that with a mere schmere gas plant.

@CelloMomOnCars@mastodon.social for us, at a personal level, this means two f3800 host batteries with expansion batteries plugged into an Anker Home Power Panel, and a BEV that can supplement the batteries, eight photovoltaic solar panels and five small vertical axis wind turbines, ground mounted outside the garage.

Triple-digit temperatures in September. "A heat dome currently sits across the Southern Plains and lower Mississippi Valley, bringing more brutal heat to the region for the next few days. Much of the Southern Plains and Southeast will have highs in the 90s through the weekend, with cities like Oklahoma City, Dallas, Little Rock and Nashville flirting with triple digits." https://weather.com/2026/09/20/forecast/regional/record-september-heat-wave-texas
