@enriquericos@mastoart.social Did you carve all the tunnels in the brass by hand or did you use a faster process?

@brunogirin@mastodon.me.uk Ha! Even slower: - Cut a cube out of a trunk - The tunnels were full of compacted... let's say sawdust, a result of the bug's process. I had to take that out first - Cover the whole thing with a ceramic solution until you get a mold with the wood still inside - Burn in a kiln until the wood is dust and you can empty the mold - Then, pour molten brass on it - Destroy the ceramic mold with a hammer and try and empty the (full of ceramics) tunnels with a drill, not damaging the brass
