Isn’t it a better idea to delete the vulnerable module for the current kernel version? That way you don’t leave any configuration behind to clean up again after you have upgraded to a secure kernel version.

@harrysintonen@infosec.exchange Thanks! I was just wondering why I couldn't find that mitigation mentioned anywhere but based on experience with the last couple of vulnerabilities I just decided to try it anyway 20 minutes ago. #sysadmin
