@twilightkiddy@thecle.land I never had much hope in the Japanese language eversince the day they picked Hepburn over Nihon-siki. On one hand, I can see how easy it is to just use English loanwords instead of (working hard to) come up with an immaculate translation for a foreign concept. On the other hand... Well. I can always fantasize about what Japanese would look like if everything was translated, can't I? 日本式ではなくヘボン式が採用された時から我は日本語へあまり期待してをらぬ。既存せぬ新概念に考えて考えて考えまくって完璧な訳語を錬り出すよりも、単に英単語をカタカナ化すれば造語が楽だといふ事もまた、言語制作と言語話者両方の観点から見ても、わかる。分かるがゆえにかな、我は今日も少しづつ、己の小さな世界の人工言語を創り続けるのさ。現実を逃避するための、小さな、小さな、人工言語をね。
