There's a related delusion to this one that's held by some people w left-leaning views. They see the fear and get paralyzed or retreat.
They don't get that literally anything that liberals or leftists do will make reactionaries angry or can make conservatives scared, and so they want to trim their sails constantly instead of communicate better.

Definitely helping conservative people with their many fears is important. Most of them have very little actual understanding of progressive viewpoints. But you help them not be scared by talking to them and with them. Not by enabling reactionaries and plutocrats. That only makes their fears worse.
