P.S. This will not stop at the Pentagon searching the medical records of people in the military. Medicare and Medicaid have medical records on individuals. The VA has medical records on individual veterans. The State Department has records of gender marker changes on passports. The forms for various federal programs ask people their gender. Also state programs; cooperative states will hand over data willingly, and uncooperative states can be strong-armed. #politics #USPol #TransRights

@jik@federate.social It's not just in the military. I recently had Medicare deny screening mammogram coverage due to "inconsistent gender" markers in Medicare vs social security records. Never happened before; I suspect DOGE. So yeah, they're coming after us, and they're sifting through the data to do it. #TransRightsAreHumanRights

@jik@federate.social Enemies and a constant state of crisis. And if there's no crisis to justify their ever-increasing reach for more power over people's lives, fascism will manufacture one. The Trump regime has done nothing but manufacturing crises since it has been established.

@jik@federate.social Raises the obvious question: what else is Whiskey Pete looking for when he tells his personnel people to comb records looking for transgender service members?
